Budget Central has been created to provide the latest news about the CSU Stanislaus budget in light of the state’s severe cuts to the California State University system. The University has been required to make $13.5 million in cuts to its 2009-10 budget, including a $2.5 million reduction of part-time faculty and staff, and has reduced full-time equivalent enrolment to 6,800. The next Stockton-based cohort of the CSU Stanislaus Executive MBA program will begin in May. The program is designed to meet the needs of executives and business leaders looking to advance their professional careers and managerial skills. The mission of the 15-month EMBA program is to deliver advanced, accelerated professional business education that provides its graduates with the knowledge and skills to advance into leadership positions within their respective organizations. Classes are held on Saturdays in order to provide flexibility for working professionals. In 2009, 26 students graduated from the EMBA’s first Stockton cohort. These students represented a wide array of industries, including health care, education, manufacturing, and technology.
