| For the fourth straight year, CSU Stanislaus was named to the Presidents Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll in February 2010 by the Corporation for National and Community Service. The University was one of seven CSU campuses named to the national Honor Roll out of a field of more than 500 colleges and universities that submitted applications. |

Budget Central has been created to provide the latest news about the CSU Stanislaus budget in light of the state’s severe cuts to the California State University system. The University has been required to make $13.5 million in cuts to its 2009-10 budget, including a $2.5 million reduction of part-time faculty and staff, and has reduced full-time equivalent enrolment to 6,800. The University’s Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Degree program, which has attracted students from all over Central California to serve workforce needs, launched its fifth cohort in 2009. Proving to be immensely popular with full classes so far, the program made its debut in 2007 in Tracy and produced its first group of graduates in December 2008. The program returned to its debut location in September 2009 with the startup of another Tracy cohort. The 15-month, 36-unit program focuses on producing well-trained management professionals who are highly sought after by regional industries and organizations. More than 100 students have participated in the program at locations in Stockton, Turlock, Modesto, and Tracy. Under the direction of the College of Business Administration and administered through the University’s Office of Extended Education, the program has seen its popularity spread far and wide. Students from as far as the Bay Area and Monterey County have enrolled in the degree program that focuses on helping career professionals enhance their managerial skills.
