Well, all of us in University Advancement at California State University, Stanislaus met last week to talk about the upcoming issue of STAN Magazine. All I can say is that, as a writer, I am pretty excited. And as an alumnus, I’m feeling great about the University’s past, present, and future.

Well, that’s actually not all I can say. Otherwise this would be slightly longer than a Twitter post.

Here’s what I can tell you. The upcoming issue of STAN Magazine will center on the University’s fast-approaching 50^th Anniversary this fall (faculty began instructing students on Sept. 19, 1960). We’ll not only look back at what the University has been able to accomplish, but we’ll delve into the University’s future and other fun stuff that lies ahead.

University Advancement is going to get together again this week or next to talk about specific stories and hand out assignments for STAN magazine. With the 50^th Anniversary Celebration and Gala coming up, it’s an exciting time for not just all of us here on campus, but for all the people that the University has been able to inspire, teach, touch, and help.
