Most of you know about all the exciting learning opportunities that are available at California State University, Stanislaus. Faculty and students are able to study locally, regionally, nationally, and abroad — all the while learning many interesting things through experiential learning. Students and faculty have been able to study in Death Valley, Mexico, Honduras, and hundreds more places during the University's 50-year history.

Well, all of us in University Advancement at California State University, Stanislaus met last week to talk about the upcoming issue of STAN Magazine. All I can say is that, as a writer, I am pretty excited. And as an alumnus, I’m feeling great about the University’s past, present, and future.

Whether viral or not, it seems like more and more colleges and universities are creating video to connect with nearly everyone from alumni to potential donors to prospective students.

In April, University Photographer Cary Edmondson and I teamed up for one of the coolest assignments I've ever been a part of (and that's saying something, because prior to my role as a writer here at CSU Stanislaus, I worked for three years as a sports reporter covering some pretty interesting stories).
