CSU Stanislaus Budget Central

Budget Central has been created to provide the latest news about the CSU Stanislaus budget in light of the state’s severe cuts to the California State University system. The University has been required to make $13.5 million in cuts to its 2009-10 budget, including a $2.5 million reduction of part-time faculty and staff, and has reduced full-time equivalent enrolment to 6,800.  Click on the link above to learn more

Gregory John Magni, '01 BA English, was recently named a 2009 California League of High Schools Educator of the Year. An English teacher and baseball coach at Central Valley High School in Ceres, Magni pitched for the CSU Stanislaus Warriors baseball team for four years and set a school record with 88 pitching appearances.

One of the 11 district winners of the state award presented earlier this year, Magni excelled in the judging categories that include leadership, reform advocacy, and exemplary characteristics. A charter faculty member of the Central Valley campus that opened in 2005, Magni has drawn high praise for his love of teaching and coaching. His enthusiasm and passion for his profession has proven popular with his students who also voted him teacher of the year at Central Valley.
