Budget Central has been created to provide the latest news about the CSU Stanislaus budget in light of the state’s severe cuts to the California State University system. The University has been required to make $13.5 million in cuts to its 2009-10 budget, including a $2.5 million reduction of part-time faculty and staff, and has reduced full-time equivalent enrolment to 6,800. Within the past year, CSU Stanislaus has added two new development directors to its Advancement team. Marni Churchill helps advance the College of Business Administration and the Vasché Library as well as the CSU Stanislaus—Stockton Center. Shannon Nichols works with the College of Humanities & Social Sciences, the College of Education, and Student Affairs to raise money and increase visibility.Both join development director Tiffani Burns who works with the College of Human and Health Sciences, the College of the Arts, and the College of Natural Sciences. Vice President for University Advancement Susana Gajic-Bruyea completes the development team, which serves as the central reference point for all university fundraising efforts. |
